Skip Bayless has always been a pretty big critic of LeBron James but even he had to celebrate the Los Angeles Lakers superstar on Wednesday night.
James became a wrecking ball during a game against the Los Angeles Clippers and powered his team to a huge 116-112 win behind his 34 points, including 19 in the fourth quarter alone.
Bayless was watching the game and sharing his thoughts via Twitter, tweeting, “GO, KING, GO” as James heated up.
GO, KING, GO.

After the game, he simply said, “Great game by LeBron James.”
Great game by LeBron James.

For much of the game, the Clippers were doing very well and seemed to have limited the Lakers, leading them by 21 points as the game neared its end.
But then James got fired up and scored 19 points, including multiple three-pointers.
James, now 39 years old, still looks like someone at least ten years younger and couldn’t be slowed down despite the best efforts from the Clippers.
It was a massive collapse by the Clippers but it was also a wildly impressive performance from James, who welcomed the cheers of the crowd and got animated and enthusiastic as victory seemed more likely.
The Lakers have now won seven of their last ten games but they still have a tough road ahead, facing the Denver Nuggets, Oklahoma City Thunder, Milwaukee Bucks, and Minnesota Timberwolves in the days ahead.
That made Wednesday’s win even more important and it certainly lifted the spirits of fans and put wind in the team’s sails.
Bayless has made numerous critiques about James over the years but he was blown away by the Lakers icon on Wednesday.
Like everyone else, he could hardly believe what he saw.
