The Los Angeles Lakers didn’t make any huge moves around the NBA trade deadline but they did sign free agent Spencer Dinwiddie on a one-year deal.
Considering Dinwiddie is a proven veteran and longtime Lakers fan, many expected this to be a match made in heaven.
However, Dinwiddie has failed to impress the Lakers fanbase in his first five games as a member of the Purple and Gold.
Since it’s a well-known fact that the Lakers fanbase has a tendency to quickly turn on players, Dinwiddie doesn’t have a lot of time to improve his performance.
Head coach Darvin Ham recently shared the advice he gave to Dinwiddie to get back in form via Michael Corvo on Twitter.
“Sometimes you just have to go out and hoop, and that’s what I told him,” Ham said.

In his two seasons as the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, Ham has developed a reputation for never giving out extreme advice to motivate his players.
A perfect example of this was Ham’s advice to Dinwiddie, as the head coach just wants the veteran to go out on the floor and hoop.
Well, every player in the league has different ways to handle a slump.
Some work hard during practice sessions to get back in form, while others simply lay back and allow their form to come back.
At the end of the day, Dinwiddie needs to get his touch back regardless of the method.
After all, he has averaged just 4.8 points, 0.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game for the Lakers in the first five games.
Can Dinwiddie bounce back soon?
