Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs is now halfway through his first season in the NBA and has made quite an impact.
Yet, many questions still surround the young rookie.
Some people wonder when he will be an All-Star and they also question if he has what it takes to be the best player in the league.
Former Los Angeles Lakers star Metta World Peace sat down on Run It Back to talk about Wembanyama and made a bold prediction about the French player’s selection to the All-Star Game.
“I think [Victor Wembanyama] will be an All-Star probably, maybe even next year…Definitely within 2-3 years, he’ll be an All-Star,” World Peace said.

Wembanyama wasn’t selected for the All-Star Game this year but told the press that it didn’t bother him.
Instead, the young player said he was focused on trying to win as many games as possible and make his team even better.
But he did admit that being chosen for the All-Star Game would be a motivation for him.
His numbers during this season are remarkable and suggest he could have been a great addition to the Western Conference All-Stars.
He is averaging 20.7 points, 10.1 rebounds, and a league-high 3.3 blocks per game.
His Spurs are still a big mess but Wembanayam is definitely showing fans that he is someone to be very excited about.
World Peace only made one All-Star appearance during his 17 years in the league and was also chosen as the Defensive Player of the Year in 2003-04.
He also earned a championship with the Lakers in 2010, of course.
The former Lakers champion isn’t the only one predicting amazing things for Wembanyama.
Most people agree that within a few years, the Spurs star will be an All-Star and possibly an MVP too.
